I guess a quick update on me wouldn’t hurt.
I am currently on spring break, and attempted to dye my hair red. I’ve tried this SO many times it’s not even funny. No surprise that I failed again, I simply have ginger roots now! The rest of my hair shines reddish in the light but it’s not very profound. Sigh. Why can’t my hair comply with my desires? I don’t ask for much! I blame my dirty-blonde roots for this failure. They absorbed all the colour while the dark brown ends didn’t.
Then there was that funny occurance that took place Saturday which my darling father has kindly written up on the main page. Go check it out, twas rather funny! It involved me, a bike, and some jewish boys. I’ve intrigued you with that, no doubt…
My school recently put up it’s production of Hello Dolly! and I’m pretty sad that it’s over. I didn’t have a speaking part but being the tallest girl, I got cast as ‘the girl who’s 6 foot 3″. *grumpy face* I am only 5’8″! But it was really funny since my love had to be REALLY short. Had to come up to my shoulder in fact, which he did. But no, that’s not enough, is it? No, let’s make the poor girl wear some heels as well! I’ll put the picture below, the difference in heights was immense. I’ll put some other random ones after it…
Then I had a pretty awesome drama project which I’ll get daddykins to put on the main page. The task was to pick 3 words that either described you, evoked an emotion, or had a certain meaning and make a 5-10 second video using them. The words had to be shown one by one, in a creative way. All of mine, for some reason, were pretty depressing. Maybe i am secretly emo inside but anyways, I settled on “I Won’t Change”. And then tried to make it ironic by “changing” during the vid. You’ll see, it’ll make sense, don’t worry!

Ummm, what else duckies? Okay I am outta practice and can’t think of anything to write at the mo but give me some time and I will! What’s that I hear you cry? I can tell you what I’ve been up to since December? Nah, it’s not that interesting or your business

So my life has just been a bit uninteresting but it recently came to mind that I don’t actually need to write these like a journal but instead I can just pick a good topic to talk about. Genius, yes? No. Sadly, this brilliant idea arose as I was skimming though father dearest’s blog. I had completely outdone all my internet possibilities (facebook, youtube, mystery google) and had resorted to going on daddykins’ blog, typing my name in the search bar, and seeing what would come up. Half the post weren’t about me but included my name and some did not even have my name in them. At all. How strange.

Going on completely spontaneously (I never plan what I’m going to write, it just comes to me as I type) I noticed that I just mentioned mystery google in the last paragraph. For the poor souls out there who do not know what this is, I feel I should elaborate. RIGHT. Mystery google. Wow. How did I live without it.
What you do is go on to http://www.mysterygoogle.com. No duh, Sherlock (really wanna see the new movie by the way)! When you type something into the search bar your search leads you to what the last person on the site has searched. Confused? Hold on, hold on. Say I type in “pickles”. When I hit enter, I will not receive (to write that word I just had to do the ‘i before i except after c’ thing in my head. teehee.) search results for said “pickles”. Oh no, I can get something like “Oh my gosh, look behind you!”, I can get “your mission is to go outside and have a conversation with your mailbox. good luck”, I can even get “miley cyrus”! An example of the use of the last one is searching “devil child”.
This amusing site poses many opportunities to give people “missions”. You can tell them to do basically anything but you usually never know whether they do them or not. Unless you’re really desperate like some people and put your number up and say “call this number and sing me a broadway song”. Then you’ll know.
What I love the most is how witty it can be. For instance if you type in “mystery yahoo” the site will (usually) reprimand you by saying “no, mystery google”. If you feel the urge to search “mystery google” it will remind you that “yes, that is the site you are on”. If you type something that makes no sense such as “fdssbgakgfadha” it’ll tell you to not write gibberish. On a whim I typed in the word “gibberish” in the search box and hit enter. Mystery google replied with “well aren’t you clever”. I was in awe.
The possibilities are endless! Do with that what you will.

OH! I remembered something funny that I believe you should listen to!
After Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents house my family and I (well of course “and I”, I did go with them) drove to Virginia to stay at our family friend’s house. The amazing story has to do with their Wii Fit. My sister was playing a balance game called Table Tumble (?) where you stand on the board and lean back and forth, trying to get the marbles on the screen to fall into various holes. She wasn’t succeeding. My friend Nastya’s 2-year-old brother then decided to climb onto the board-type-thing. After he wiggled around for a bit I proceeded to grab his shoulders and use him as a controller/joystick for the game. With his help, I passed all 9 levels. When I had done it on my own I barely got past 4… This event was easily the best part of my Thanksgiving.

On a leaving note (oh come on, you didn’t expect me to stay forever did you?) I say that you should watch these two Christmas song videos by well-known youtuber Fred. As a side note it is amazing how famous he’s getting. He’s already been on 2 TV shows and one the vids that I’m posting below currently sails on disney channel during commercials. (Sails? I dunno why. Maybe it’s ‘cos I set my facebook language to English-Pirate). So yea, watch! For the first one, ignore the annoying first 10 seconds. It gets funny.

How about I make it up to you? Good? Yea, I thought so. You see, I went to a concert Thursday night and while you probably haven’t heard of the bands, it was amazing!

I was just looking up songs that I needed by Unicorn Kid (I’ll explain in a mo) and came across a link to his myspace page, so I clicked on it. Scrolling down I found out that he was having a concert in Hackensack, NJ which is actually rather near me (kinda). I was very surprised because first of all, he’s from Scotland and second of all, he doesn’t have a well-known record deal. I LOVE his music and him, personally. ANYWAYS, then came my exstatic-ness because he was in a concert supporting Owl City! Owl city just got signed this July but I’ve known them for around a year. They are just getting famous. But a concert with BOTH of them! WOW.

So I phoned the only other person I know who knows Owl City (who lives in America). And that is Danielle. She found out that the whole concert was only 12 bucks! A few phone-calls later and our parents agreed to let us go! Danielle also invited our friend Michelle who came with us to the concert.

Upon arrival at the venue (which is actually a School of Rock and lessons were going on during the show), Unicorn Kid was already playing. Sadly he only played for about 30 minutes. Afterwards he went to a table at the back to sell his T-Shirts. He was actually selling them himself! I bought one obviously. He is, by the way, the nicest guy in the world. He talked to us for a good 10 minutes and signed everything we asked. My iPod, my shirt, etc.(I know that doesn’t excactly prove he’s so nice but trust me, there’s not a sweeter guy in the world.) His trade-mark is a Lion Hat, which is also the name of one of his songs. Well, I decided to bring my panda hat along to the concert. When I told him I had it, he told me to put it on and loved it. We took a picture together roaring in our hats. He later on signed it. I’ve decided I love him.

After his part in the show Danielle, Michelle and I decided to go to the toilet. There was someone in front of us and she was in there for like 15 minutes. So we knocked on the door a few times and basicaly kicked her out. Then someone told us that she was the girl singer from Owl City. OOPS!

My panda hat got a lot of compliments. One boy was even willing to trade his hat for mine. Sadly, his was a DC baseball cap and mine was a panda hat from China. There was no trading.

A Norwegian singer called Kate Havnevik also had a bit but I didn’t really like her music. I don’t think a lot of the people at the concert were fans of that kind of music. We were all electro/indie people. But she was very nice and complimented my hat, too.

Owl City then came on and we were literally 6 feet away from them. Then venue was really small. Some kid dancing in the middle of the room pushed us even closer to the front. I got some amazing photos, I’ll put a few of them below. Sadly, my video has really bad sound quality so the vids didn’t turn out that good, except for the actually images. The lead singer, Adam Young, through some guitar picks into the audience. We didn’t catch any. When they came on for an encore for their last song, he let US (the audience) sing the last few lines of the song. I think that was cool.

Owl City didn’t come to a table to sell their T-shirts, someone else was selling them. Maybe they’re too famous to be allowed that close to people. But, hey, I got to hug Unicorn Kid so I’m fine.

While waiting outside for our ride, the drummer from Owl City came outside and we a conversation with him as well. He says ‘for sure’ a lot. Love it! His name’s Matt. He’s very hot. We told him more lights should have been put on him during the show because we were trying to take pictures of him. He said we shouldn’t have been taking pics of HIM. Ha, fat chance, he’s beautiful. He signed my hat and my camera. Then we told him that we had kicked his band member out of the toilet and he said ‘So you’re the ones who did that!’. T’was funny. Then I gave him one of my bracelets to wear. It’s pink and stretchy, I hope he keeps it on.

All in all, great night. Had soo much fun!

I am currently living in my grandparents office and am being frequently interrupted by random family members walking in now and again. It’s quite rude, frankly. They should really be more considerate when I’m sitting oblivious to the world and not paying them the slightest bit of attention. People these days!

My parental figures have in fact found a house somewhere in this Hamburger-a-go-go Land and we’ll be moving in there at some point in the near(yet probably far) future, hopefully. It’s got a pool and all the nice junk that good houses need. Not that I’ve ever actually visited it in person. But I trust my parents in their choice (YIKES) and know the house will be just lovely…yea.

I’ve, on a spur of the moment decision, decided to write this entry in all very small paragraphs. ‘Cos it seems it’ll turn out like that anyways. Still, I wanted to comment on it so it wouldn’t be as spontaneous seeming as it actually is. Or something.

AHHHHHHHHHH! Brilliant idea alert! It’s simply fab! No really. A few days ago my good friend Tim and I wrote a play for our two younger sisters, Kimmy and Tessa. We only wrote it because they were begging annoyingly and we gave into the bribe of lemonade. We’re weak, oh well. ANYWAYS. This play is entitled Rabbits and their ancestors and is in the style of Absurdism (look it up). Before you read it, I would just like to say that my only contribution is about two or three lines. I’ll point them out to you!

Hmmm. My fingers are tired now so I shall abandon my idea of many more little paragraphs. What I wrote should hold you for another decade till next time, right?

Okay one more. You convinced me. I would just like to say that I finally finished the Twilight series. And I HATE the ending. That is all.

These 3 chaps/chapettes are from Italy and I had a great time searching them out, ‘specially the glass one!
On a sadder note, there used to be 4. We have misplaced Vinny from Venice (original, no?) and are still searching with vigour for his whereabouts. The only problem is, he looks quite like one I already have. So I don’t know if that one is actually Vinny, or just a look alike. I’ll keep you posted if the detectives (just me) uncover any more about this case.

Let’s first talk about Chiaro who is situated on the right-hand side of the photo. He was obtained in a little shop on the Realto Bridge (actually it was fairlty large-some) in Venice that sold only things made of wood. I believe it started with Pinocchios (as in plural) if the video in the Rome version of the shop was anything to go by. My only disappointment was that although there were hedgehog keychains and pencil holders, there were no clocks or coat hangers. These came in a variety of other species such as cat, cat, elephant hanging of a boat, cow, etc. Kimmy, my little sister, got a cat clock which I despised for some reason. I dunno, maybe the tail moving but the eyes not kinda freaked me out. I myself got a coat hanger with two ADORABLE kitties, fighting over a fish, on it. And of course Chiaro. His name comes from a book I read called Falconer’s Knot whcih is based in Italy.(I don’t recommend it but the author, Mary Hoffman, has other books which are great. They are called the Stravanganza series and the first one is called City of masks.) The heroine is called Chiara, therefore I made the name masculine. Why? ‘Cos I liked it. I also named a cat that I saw the exact same thing.

Next comes Giorgio Murano (on the left) from, you guessed it, the island Murano. It’s situated very close to Venice and is tranquil, if a tad dull. The island is most famous for its glass-blowing masterpieces. We even sat in a on a glass blowing master called Giorgio, hence the first part of the hedgy’s name. I’d been looking in many many shops for a glass-blown hedgehog and found one in this master’s big shoppy-thing! I was VERY happy, you can ask Kimmy. ‘Twas a choice between yellow and green and I picked magenta obviously, as can be seen by the photo. I think Giorgio is my most satisfying find so far ‘cos it took so long.

Finally, meet Rommy from Rome. Hey, we’ve already discussed my amazing originality with names but there’s actually a story behind this one. At first I was gonna name her Romy, as in ‘Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion’. Then, upon arrival back to england I read a book that had a character in it named Romilly, or Rommy for short. I just fell in love with the name and believe the nickname suits the location of Rommy’s kid-napping, er, I mean purchase, perfectly.

So yea. Here they are. Two short guys and one tall girl. Isn’t that always the case?

I was actually expecting something really useless when she showed me the bag because for Christmas Connie got me peanuts. I think she’d forgotten to get me something so settled for those nuts of pea. She’d wrapped them up very nicely and had strictly told me not to open them until X-mas because they were so special. Naturally, I opened them within the next 3 seconds. Anyway, the point of this anecdote is a small apology to Connie. I underestimated your sense of good gifts and I’m sorry.

SO. I opened the bag and found a really smooshable little hoggy inside, with a blue ribbon wrapped around him. I was touched that Connie had seen him, thought of me, and bought him. She told me he was called Prickles which I thought very original until I found the name on his tag but oh well! It’s the thought that counts and I really love widdle Prickles!

That same day we had Maths which was spent by me working and Constance drawing on my hand. And what beautiful drawings they were! I took the liberty of photographing the thing that has fingers at the end of it and post it with this bloggy. Enjoy this, soon to be world known, piece of art.

It’s a hiking trip with VERY heavy packs and lots of hills.

I slept over my mate Annah’s house the day before the expedition to save my lovely parents the hassle of driving me to school at 7am on Friday. See how nice I am? My good friend Ella also joined in this party of slumber. We actually went to bed ay 12.30 which isn’t that bad for us. Of course, before this, we went outside and discovered a HAMMOCK. We lay in it for about 40 mins and when people walked by decided to BE the hammock. (For your information, hammocks talk in in deep fast voices and repeat things many times.) We also arranged the potted trees in a hallway to stand in the middle of it and played frisbee (we are quite bad at this particular game). The frisbee then had to be returned to the hammock (where we had found it). Twas a fun night.
The next day at school the bus came (40 minutes late) and took us to somewhere in Kent. There we started our trek.

Here’s a sum up of the first day:
My group was Annah, Me, Emily, Bea, An-ma (Anne-Marie) were doing well at first but at some point went south for 2km when we were meant to be going north. (The first half, we walked with a teacher who I blame for our lostness).We were second to last to arrive at lunch. I was carrying two halves of a tent during the first half of the walk which caused me to cry many times. At lunch, we gave Annah one of the tent halves which helped loads. We met up with a group about an hour in being led by our resident Scottish teacher, Ms McNabbers (this is not the actual spelling of her name but I worry about teachers googling themselves because yes, they are that sad)! She gave us a right laugh! The other group wad hopelessly lost so Ms said ‘Let’s go that way!’ Her group asked why and she replied with ‘Well the other way leads to Scotland.” You had to be there. It was hilarious!
We actually got to camp second at around 6pm which was our goal in the first place. We cooked pasta and put up our tents and then went beddy-bye. Sleeping in tents is cold and my tent-mate, Bea, rolled onto my side very often.

Day numero two:
We were in much better spirits on Saturday and were first to leave camp in the morning. Over the hike, various groups caught up to us but quickly fell behind. We were told to leave a card at a farm to show we’d got that far before going ahead. Ours said ‘We got here first! Na Nicky Na Na! (We probably won’t get home first).’ Well…WE DID. We arrived at our pick up point before our TEACHERS let alone everyone else! We were well proud. Sadly, me and Annah got picked up last ‘cos our ride was Ella’s mum. Not only did her group get back almost last, but Ella also forgot to call her mum and tell her to pick us up. Ah well, I learned a few card tricks and horrified all the teachers with my music.

And this was only the practice expedition! I have the real thing in two weeks. My shoulders and legs still kill so much but I’ll survive (barely).
